Description
“Deputy Jess Carlin (Audie Murphy) leaves his Texas hometown in disgrace, framed by corrupt saloon owner Luke Starr (Broderick Crawford) for a crime he didn’t commit. When his brother, muckraking newspaper editor Roy Carlin (Víctor Vilanova), is murdered after printing an exposé of Starr’s crooked deals, Carlin returns home from the Mexican border town where he’s been holed up and enlists his brother’s fiancée (Luz Márquez) and saloon dancer Kit O’Neal (Diana Lorys) to bring Starr down. An outlaw bank robber on the run from the law is mistaken for a US Marshal in the small western town of Little Rock, Arkansas. Instead of dissuading the townspeople, the robber plays along, ultimately winning their respect and admiration. A civilian military contractor, Craig Benson (Audie Murphy), returns to the Philippines during World War II to search for his wife, Ruth (Dolores Michaels), who went missing two years earlier when the Japanese invaded the country. Benson braves treachery, Japanese forces and the hellish jungle as he tries to bring his wife back alive. In his search, Benson meets Filipino rebel fighter Julio (Alejandro Rey), who knows where Ruth is. The only problem is that Julio is in love with her too.”
